Consulting Room for a Physiotherapist, Stony StratfordA Victorian bakery had had its shop front and cart entrance botched up as a hall and garage. As the owner needed to run her physiotherapy practice from home, a consulting room and shower room were provided in their place. In the process, a new door and window restored balance to the street frontage.

Garden Office for a Solicitor, OxfordWhen the children grew out of their wooden play house, the opportunity arose to build a small office on the same footprint, complete with a deck for study or relaxation. The materials include marine plywood, cedar boarding and stainless steel rigging.

Rooftop Studio for a Painter, OxfordRetirement from teaching opened up a new career as a painter, and the roof garden over the artist’s flat offered a site for a studio. The proposal was for a building clad in zinc or copper, with generous north lighting. |
